At the gates of Brittany, open on the sleeve, Saint Malo<\/strong> is the main port city on the coast of northern Brittany. This city, fortified over the ages, was originally built on an island with a rocky base. A tidal wave, around the 8th century, would have attached it to the mainland, transforming the island into a peninsula.<\/p>\n
